MURAL Festival 2022

Montreal’s MURAL Festival is an eleven day event celebrating the international urban art movement. Championing live art, music, exhibitions and artist talks, the Festival is an important gathering of the global artistic community. World class musicians and visual artists collaborate for a cultural celebration in the heart of Montreal’s main artery, Saint-Laurent Boulevard.

 

Throughout five successful editions, the MURAL Festival has transformed Montreal through neighbourhood regeneration, establishing Montreal as a global destination for contemporary urban art and an ultimate tourist destination.

Street Fair

The Montreal MURAL Festival is organized around a massive street fair, on the Saint- Laurent Boulevard, one of the city’s major cultural, culinary and nocturnal destination, which is closed to car traffic for 11 days during the Festival. Visitors can explore the many amazing merchants and entrepreneurs who literally take to the streets to showcase their creations.

The Location

Each year, Boulevard Saint- Laurent becomes host to the MURAL Festival between Sherbrooke Street and Mont- Royal Avenue. For eleven days, the street is closed to vehicles and is transformed to a pedestrian walkway. The public is able to enjoy free access to the creation of murals, block parties, culinary showases, exhibitions and much more. With MURAL’s curated imprint, the neighbourhood becomes the destination to stimulate all the senses long after the Festival, Saint-Laurent remains a prime tourist attraction year round.
